Support

Most problems come down to where the phone is. The answers below cover the questions we get; anything else, write to support@rirvana.app.

01What the app does

RIRVana watches a set through your phone’s camera, counts the reps, reads how much the bar slowed down, and estimates how many reps you had left. That reading writes the next set and, over weeks, the program. Everything the camera sees is processed on the phone; only the numbers it derives are kept.

The camera path currently covers a set of calibrated movement patterns. Every other exercise can still be logged by hand, and the coach will review those sets from the reps and effort you enter.

02The camera is not counting my reps

Nearly always a framing problem. Rep counting needs the joints of the lift in view for the whole rep, from a side-on angle, in reasonable light. Check these first:

  • Put the phone side on to the lift, roughly hip height, far enough back that your whole body stays in frame at the bottom of the rep.
  • Wait for the setup check to pass before the first rep. The app declines to count until it can see what it needs.
  • Keep a plain background behind you where you can. Mirrors and other people in frame confuse the tracker.

If reps are still missed, open Profile and run AI Rep Calibration. It records one set and fits the counter’s depth and lockout thresholds to your own range of motion, so a rep that is a touch shallower than the default threshold counts after that.

03Apple Health

Connect Apple Health from Profile. The app reads steps, active energy, distance, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, and body weight, and shows them next to your training. Only body weight is stored with your account; the rest is read on the phone and not uploaded.

To disconnect, open the Health app, go to Sharing, then Apps, and turn RIRVana’s permissions off. Readings already shown are not kept after that.

04Deleting my data

Open Profile and choose Delete Account. This removes your account and every workout, program, measurement, and setting we hold for it, permanently. Clips recorded on the phone are removed when you delete the app.

If you cannot get into the app, write to us from the email address on the account and we will delete it for you. The full picture of what we hold is in the privacy policy.

05Contact

Email support@rirvana.app. Include your phone model and iOS version and, for a tracking problem, the exercise and the camera position you used. A short clip of the setup helps more than a description.

Replies come from the developer, usually within a couple of days.
