RIRVana
About

Built by one lifter who was tired of guessing.

RIRVana is made by Derek, a solo founder. It started as a form-correction experiment and became an instrument: a camera that times reps, reads the slowdown, and writes the next set. The product is small on purpose. It measures what it can, says what it cannot, and never decorates a reading.

The whole thing - pose pipeline, estimator, program engine, the app on both platforms and this site - is one person's work. That is a constraint, and it is also why every number on these pages is either measured, derived and labelled as such, or explicitly a demonstration.

Principles

Measured before inferred

Anything the camera saw is solid ink. Anything the model derived is purple. You always know which you are looking at.

Decline to guess

A lost bar, a bad angle, a two-rep set: the instrument says so instead of inventing a number.

Motion on data only

Numbers roll, bars grow, a line draws itself. The chrome never performs.
